This privacy policy applies to the website at www.gcbrand.at, including all subpages in both the German and English language versions.
We take the protection of your personal data seriously. We treat it confidentially and process it exclusively in accordance with applicable law — in particular the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the Austrian Data Protection Act (Datenschutzgesetz, DSG) and the Austrian Telecommunications Act 2021 (Telekommunikationsgesetz 2021, TKG 2021) — and in accordance with this privacy policy.
Personal data is any data by which you can be personally identified. On this website, such data arises in two situations:
- Automatically when you visit a page: technically necessary data that every web server processes, in particular your IP address in the server log files (see Section 3). Your IP address is also transmitted for technical reasons to the weather service Open-Meteo, as the weather display is a core function of a golf course website (see Section 7).
- When you actively provide it: for example when submitting the contact form or subscribing to the newsletter (see Sections 12 and 13).
We also embed content from external providers (tournament calendar, webcam, 360° panorama, Google Maps). This content is only loaded after you have given your consent via our cookie banner; details can be found in Sections 8 to 11.
We do not use any analytics, tracking or advertising services. Neither audience measurement nor the creation of user profiles takes place. The fonts used on this website are served from our own server; no connection to font providers such as Google Fonts is established.
Automated decision-making, including profiling within the meaning of Art. 22 GDPR, does not take place.
This website is transmitted in encrypted form via HTTPS (TLS). You can recognise an encrypted connection by the padlock symbol in your browser’s address bar.

browser which cookie categories you have consented to. No
personal data is transmitted to Complianz or third parties in
this process.
You may withdraw your consent at any time via the cookie
banner or the corresponding link in the footer.
- Multilingual Support (Polylang)
Our website is available in German and English. To manage your
language selection, we use the WordPress plugin Polylang. When
you switch between languages, a technically necessary cookie
(pll_language) is set that stores only your language
preference. No analysis or personalisation takes place.

- Weather Data (Open-Meteo)
Our website displays a weather widget showing current weather
conditions and a forecast for Brand and the Brandnertal valley.
This data is provided by the free, non-commercial service
Open-Meteo (Open-Meteo.com, Bruggen 4, 7304 Maienfeld,
Switzerland).
When you visit a page containing the weather widget, your IP
address is technically transmitted to the Open-Meteo servers.
Open-Meteo expressly states that no IP addresses, user
profiles, or personal data are stored. No cookies are set and
no requests are logged.
Legal basis: Art. 6 (1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in
displaying current weather data as a necessary feature of a
golf course website).

On some subpages we embed content from the external service
PCCaddie (PC CADDIE://online GmbH & Co. KG, Sulzbacher

This content is only loaded after you have given your consent
to the “Marketing” category via our cookie banner. Before
your consent, a placeholder with a link to the PCCaddie
website is displayed instead.

by the Alpenhotel Zimba server.

consent, a placeholder is displayed.
With your consent, your IP address is transmitted to the Zimba
server.

On the “Webcams” page we embed an interactive 360-degree
panorama from Moving Pictures (Moving Pictures Gesellschaft

The panorama is only loaded after you have given your consent
to the “Marketing” category via our cookie banner. Before your
consent, a placeholder is displayed.

transmitted to Moving Pictures.

On the contact page we embed an interactive map from Google
Maps (Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street,

consent, a placeholder with a link to the Google Maps website
is displayed.
With your consent, your IP address and browser data are
transmitted to Google, possibly to the United States.

- Contact Form
When you use our contact form, the data you provide (name,
email address, message content) is stored with us for
processing your enquiry and for the case of follow-up
questions. We do not pass this data on to third parties
without your consent.
Processing of data entered into the contact form is based on
your consent (Art. 6 (1)(a) GDPR). You can withdraw this
consent at any time.
The data entered into the contact form remains with us until
you request deletion, withdraw your consent to storage, or
the purpose of data storage ceases (e.g. after your enquiry
has been processed).
13. Newsletter (Mailchimp)
We use the Mailchimp service provided by Intuit Inc. (The Rocket Science Group LLC d/b/a Mailchimp), 675 Ponce de Leon Ave NE, Atlanta, GA 30308, USA, to send our newsletter.
When you subscribe, your email address and the language of the page you visited (German/English, so that we can send you the newsletter in the correct language) are transmitted to Mailchimp and stored there. Subscription uses the double opt-in procedure: you will receive a confirmation email and will only be added to our mailing list after clicking the confirmation link.
Mailchimp processes data in the USA. This transfer is based on Intuit Inc.’s certification under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and on Standard Contractual Clauses. A data processing agreement is in place with Mailchimp.
Your data will remain stored until you unsubscribe — which you can do at any time via the unsubscribe link in every newsletter or by sending an email to info@gcbrand.at.
